Alex Wright is a singer, songwriter, poet, artist, time tripper, storm chaser, and eccentric explorer from the other side of the tracks in Huntsville, Alabama.

Alex has been playing in bands around the Rocket City since before he could drive – lying to his folks and hitching rides to go play shows at clubs that have since been lost to time – still alive in the memories of the dancers, punks, and dreamers that were lucky enough to be there.

Over the years Alex has played with a number of bands in the Huntsville music scene including Or the Children’s Crusade & the World Forgot.

After some time away, he is returning to his first love of playing music in the most raw and authentic way possible. Just himself, his guitar, and a life of songs & stories aching to find solace with other dreamers and offer hope to those afraid that all is lost.

He’s bold enough to believe that music can still change things and he’s here to play with the Moon and turn the tides.

Coming Soon

Alex is currently working on a new project recording a batch of songs directly to his cassette recorder to be released as a series starting in April 2026.

Additionally, Alex is in the process of writing his latest zine, Cassette Carrier, which has essays on bands & musicians that he fell in love with through listening to his father’s cassette collection – to be released later this year.
